HISTORY OF TRACES OF HEAVEN, INC. + GIFTBANDIT™: Mariette Fredericks created giftbandit™ tags in 1993, while working in the print industry for nearly 15 years under the name Traces of Heaven. She decided to “marry” tag idea with her wedding invitation and stationery business, consistently developing quality products for all her customers. Over several years time, Mariette continued to operate her business under the Traces of Heaven banner during which, she cultivated and produced an original giftbandit™ tag for wine and stationery shops, that are now found (with her stationery line) at www.giftbandit.com.

This 3 day event is held in heated tents and modeled after the famous German Christmas markets dating back to 1500s. The Handiwerke and Gourmet Foods offer shopping opportunities in a winter wonderland as well as being a great meeting place for family and friends to hook up and catch the Christmas spirit!
410 North Arlington Heights Road adjacent to North School Park at Evergreen Street in Arlington Heights. The annual Tree Lighting Ceremony at 4:45 pm sparks off the electricity to the gigantic tree and animated lawn ornaments and decorations that light up the park throughout the Christmas season, 24/7.

Traces of Heaven + Gift Bandit
Networking with local businesses increases the buzz in business –When Mariette upgraded giftbandit.com she enlisted the aid of local businesses to publicize the revamped website. Specifically she asked a few merchants if she could place giftbandit.com postcards in their stores. Initially she asked a coffee shop, a nail salon, a café’ chain, and two fashion boutiques – all places whose clienteles might be interested in the invitations and stationery offered by Traces of Heaven + Gift Bandit.
To thank each individual business for this free publicity, Mariette added a large, colorful sticker to the back of each postcard, offering a gift card to the business with each Gift Bandit purchase. “All the customer has to do is order $50 from www.giftbandit.com and mention where they found us to receive their $5.00 gift card,” Mariette says. To make the postcards more appealing, Mariette, a graphic artist, added the colorful logos of each business to the sticker’s message.
The postcards list the web address, products available from the web site and the Gift Card offer. The promotion has led to increased gift card sales and more returning customers for the local merchants, as well as new customers for Traces of Heaven + Gift Bandit. “It’s really a win-win situation,” Mariette says.

Since she was a teenager, people have begged graphic artist Mariette Fredericks "Would you help me with my wedding invitations? Would you help me with my shower?" The 48-year-old Arlington Heights mom ultimately started an invitation and stationery business called "Traces of Heaven," which she has since taken to the Web, expanded and renamed giftbandit.com.
Last month, she relaunched her Web site so it's easier to look through all of the invitations, party favors, gifts and customized calligraphy, all in a style that ranges from fun to elegant. "I just know this is what I'm called to do," said Fredericks, a devout Christian. "Our mission statement is, 'Live in integrity. Do something creative every day. And deliver more than expected.'" Beacon Technologies Launches Site with New e-Commerce Product
Beacon helped to launch Giftbandit.com, an adorable cyber spot for gift and invitation ideas, with their new e-commerce product dubbed, BeCommerce.Net. The new product features all the modern bells and whistles for ecommerce sites, including auto product image resizer, lots of colors and font options and client's ability to change home page graphics within the admin interface.
